Berkeley MLK Breakfast 2019

January 21 @ 7:30 am - 10:00 am

Join Berkeley faith organizations, community groups, elected leaders and residents in celebrating the life and legacy of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 8th Annual MLK Jr. Breakfast. The theme this year is “United Against Hate, Working for Economic Justice” in recognition of the urgency to address the many challenges Berkeley and other communities across the nation are facing. There will be musical performances, inspiring speeches and awards given out to local organizations working toward a more economically just future. We will also honor 3 local students who are working for social change in our community.

We hope you can join us!

Started in 2012 by a diverse group of East Bay citizens to both celebrate and continue the work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., this annual event has grown into a exuberant gathering that captures the spirit of the joyful society that Dr. King championed and envisioned. Each year, hundreds of community members gather to start this day celebrating Dr. King with conversation, breakfast, speeches, songs and tributes.
