1. Explore around the Lindsay Wildlife Experience
The Lindsay Wildlife Experience is the country’s first wildlife hospital, a zoological organization, and an educational museum specializing in native California wildlife.
Take a family and kid friendly hike and explore the plant biodiversity, or meet one of the 40+ wild animal ambassadors like owls, porcupines, and iguanas that call Lindsay Wildlife Experience “home.”
2. Visit the Brookwood Park Labyrinth
Find serenity in the middle of Brookwood Park. The labyrinth took almost a year to design and fundraise, privately funded as a joint collaboration between Kindred at Home Hospice and the Pleasant Hill Rec Dept. and was finally completed by a group of volunteers in June 2015.
3. Take a trip to Lake Tahoe
Tahoe California has many winter activities, including skiing, tubing, and sledding. Home to 11 ski and snowboard resorts, and hundreds of trails, there is plenty to enjoy during a California winter here at Lake Tahoe.
4. Go ice skating at the Veranda
Ice at the Veranda is returning this winter and we look forward to welcoming you back to skate! Come glide on the ice Friday, November 3, 2023 through Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
